Terroir
Southwest France is a region steeped in winemaking history. Before the market simplified the landscape around a few dominant grape varieties, Gaillac, Fronton, Cahors, Madiran, Jurançon, and Irouléguy were already championing local varieties, diverse agricultural landscapes, and highly distinctive styles. Duras, Braucol, Mauzac, Loin de l'Œil, Négrette, Malbec, Tannat, and Manseng produce wines here unlike any other.
The charm of Southwest France lies in this straightforwardness. The reds can be structured, earthy, and spicy, but the best retain freshness and a true precision of tannins. The dry whites often have remarkable vivacity; the traditional sparkling wines tell the story of an ancient tradition; macerated and low-sulfite wines find their natural expression when the grapes are perfectly ripe and the cellar hygiene is impeccable.
For Vignerons de Nature, it is a region of discovery and character. We select wines that embrace their accent, their history and their table: charcuterie, poultry, duck dishes, cheeses, stews, but also more contemporary pairings where acidity, bitterness and texture work wonders.
